Most of what we see shows Off-grid living as this super positive-only kind of living. It is interesting to know about the challenges too. But I think it is worth facing these challenges while embracing a slow and mindful life that is good for your mind and body.
100% agree. Any lifestyle has ups and downs and it's my mission to show people a true and authentic overview of this way of life. I agree the tradeoffs are fully worth it!
Interesting that you mention that, Neela. I didn't heard (or read) any positives about living on the countryside until I started doing it ahaha. Maybe it's serendipity or something. 😅
I have a friend who lives in Columbia and he often talks about his cabin in the countryside. He loves living there and I promised to visit him sometime 😄
This is fascinating! So many aspects I didn’t consider. Is Juan Colombian? I think it would be cool if there were little villages of people living off-grid together. I imagine it can get very isolating. But I really resonated with the independence aspect. Society is so sick and toxic on so many levels and opting out of that sounds appealing. I do admire people who are able to do this.
I indeed am (although it's a long story of being out for a long time and then going back...).
I think that idea you mention is really cool. I only know of one place that does that off-grid, self-sustainable type of living called "Proyecto Gaia".

It's true. Maybe a defect we have of overhyping something without showing the full spectrum.
We'll always have upsides and downsides regardless of lifestyle. And like you said, in this case, I believe the tradeoffs are worth it.

I've heard good things about living in the countryside of Colombia. Thank you for introducing me to Juan Gonzalez. Nicely done!

That is so cool, glad you liked it Neela!
Pretty nice! Cabins have some sort of allure to them. And if it's paired with the views from the countryside, I can see why he loves it. 😆

Hey Suzanne, thanks for the comment!
